Chreav Concrete Road Sunset – Siem Reap Hidden Spot

Chreav Concrete Road is one of the best places where local people love to relax in the evening. Many families and friends come here during sunset to chill, bring snacks and drinks, and enjoy the peaceful countryside atmosphere. There are also small stalls selling Khmer food and drinks, so you can easily find something to eat.

It is located only about 9 km from Siem Reap city. From here, you can enjoy a beautiful view of Phnom Krom to the west.

From August to October, when the water flows from Tonle Sap Lake, the area becomes lively with water activities, and local people enjoy fishing. From November to March, during the dry season, the landscape transforms into wide green rice fields, creating a calm and scenic rural view.

My Experience – 11 February 2026

On 11 February 2026, I started my trip from Siem Reap with my scooter, heading south along the Siem Reap River (left-side road). The traffic was not busy, and I enjoyed the peaceful view of the river along the way.

After about 5 km, I turned left toward Widow Corner Market (ផ្សារកែងមេម៉ាយ). In the evening, this market is very busy. It’s a great place to stop and buy some snacks or fresh local vegetables.

From there, I continued about 200 meters and then turned right. After riding around 3 km more, I reached Chreav Concrete Road (ផ្លូវបេតុង សង្កាត់ជ្រាវ).

At this time of year, it is the dry season, so there was no water. I could ride closer to the rice fields to find the best spot for sunset with a clear view of Phnom Krom. I brought some snacks and drinks and enjoyed the peaceful atmosphere. The weather was perfect — clear sky, cool air, and no rain.
After enjoying the sunset, I left around 6:00 PM, feeling relaxed and refreshed.
